This convent was started on 29th May 1984 by the grace of Almighty God.  Rt. Rev. Dr. George Punnakkottil blessed this convent and St. Antony of Paduva is the heavenly patron of this house.  The provincial superior Rev. Sr. Grace Mary took initiative to start this convent in the remote rural area.  The Vicar, Rev. Fr. Jacob Puthiyedom gave great help to erect the house there.  The main apostolate is house visiting and social services, especially among the poor families.  The 1st superior was Rev. Mother Dennis.
