This convent was blessed by Mar George Punnakkottil on 10th January 2001.  The Provincial superior Rev. Sr. Joviet took initiative to start this convent and the hospital Nirmala Medical Centre.  On 12th May 2001 the hospital was blessed on 12th September 2001 the Nursing school also was started.  Rev. Sr. Lucy was the 1st superior of this convent.  Rev. Sr. Lillybet was the 1st Administrator of the hospital and Rev. Sr. Kripa was the 1st Principal of the Nursing School.  Besides the General Nursing Course, a new course for Nursing Assistants also has started in the year 2005 with the help of Kerala State women's Development Corporation. B.sc Nursing and Post B.sc courses are started. Now it is a multispecialty hospital. Quarters for Doctors also completed.
